He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeFoe and Victoria DeFoe (Snow); his children, George D. DeFoe II (Kimberly May) and Kimberly Hackney (Rodney Hackney); and his siblings, Sylvia Maynard (Roy Maynard), Linda Henchman (Dennis Henchman) and Homer DeFoe (Barbara DeFoe).
He is survived by: his wife Judy DeFoe (Finley); his daughter Gretta Anderson-DeFoe (James Anderson); and his grandchildren, Richard DeFoe, Robert Anderson, Stephen Davidson, Michael Hackney, Rodney Hackney and Dakota Seith Hackney.
In place of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
