He was predeceased by: his father Kermit Murphy Jr.; his grandparents, Justine and Kermit Murphy Sr.; and his nephew Billy Slone. He is survived by: his mother Della Mae Murphy (Whitt) of Murfreesboro, TN; his daughter Holly Murphy; his siblings, Kermit Murphy (Nellie) of Rawl, WV and Debbie Slone (Dave) of Murfreesboro, TN; and his siblings' children, Jason Murphy and Jennifer Farley.
