She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Jackson and Ivery Irene Jackson; her husband James Andrew Hunter Sr.; her children, James A. Hunter Jr., Deborah Kay Hunter, Mary Hunter, Gloria Jean Hunter and Jeanette Irene Hunter; and her sisters, Elizabeth Jeraldine Hunter and Mary Alice Jackson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea Mae Brown, Barbara Lynn Phipps, Judith Elaine Thorn (Eugene), Nancy Jean "Pebbles" Barnes and Theodora Evette Robinson; her adoptive daughter Brenda Kay Vickers; her brother Arthur Carter; and her friends, Marcella Woods-Jones, Juanita Hooks and Jenny Mae Stacy. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
