He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Tingler and Ethel Elza Tingler; his wife Thelma F. Long; his grandson Eric Tingler; and his siblings, Hermie, Alonzo, Corbitt, Paul, Geraldine Raines, Louise Collett, Irene Zentz and Bonnie Tingler.
He is survived by: his children, David Tingler (Carolyn) of Romney, WV, Barbara Hinkle (Jim) of Dry Fork, WV and Donna Knotts (Sam) of Pickens, WV; his grandchildren, Matthew Hinkle, Jeffrey Tingler, Samuel Knotts, Shelley Daugherty and Zachary Knotts; and his great grandchildren, Mateo Hinkle, Spencer, Pierce, Peyton Daugherty, Sammy, Johnny and Anna Knotts.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tomblyn Funeral Home (45 Randolph Ave, Elkins, WV 26241). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harman Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 131, Harman, WV 26270 in memory of Lewis.
