He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel M. Walters and Wanda Bowen; and his wife JoAnn Bowen. He is survived by: his children, Tamra, Kurt and Jaclynne; and his cousin Lynette. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel (351 N Adams Ave, Buffalo, WY 82834). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (470 Munkers St, Buffalo, WY 82834).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to SBL Hospice, 497 West Lott Street, Buffalo Wyoming 82834, a service project in Merrill's name.
