He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ginny; his parents, Elma Owen Hancock and Robert Laverne Hancock, Sr.; his children, Skip, Ginny, Michael Howard Hancock (Ginny), Becky Seibel (Bruce), Patty Hancock and Barb Mahoney (Chuck); his grandchildren, Bob Hancock (Kathy), Kaitlyn Mahoney and Jenna Mahoney; his great grandchild Adeline Mahoney Sears; his granddaughters, Zoey Mahoney and Tashann Bennett (Seibel); and his great grandchildren, Mckenzie and Ty Bennett.
