She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Kester and Iva Kester; her husband Virgil Smith; her siblings, Homer "Bud" Kester and Linda Sievers; her son-in-law Chuck Blankenship; and her grandchildren, Sarah and Joshua Blankenship.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Blankenship, Virgil John Smith (Gracie), Julie Johnson (Steve) and James Smith (Donna); and her siblings, Kerry Kester and Marie Krohn. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (710 E 2nd St, Casper, WY 82601). A prayer will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Fatima Catholic Church (1401 CY Ave, Casper, WY 82604).
