He is survived by: his wife Michelle Doherty; his children, Danielle (Cory) and Scott; his grandchildren, Bryson (Rachel), Heyden, Halle and Brinlee; his siblings, Michael Doherty, Patrick Doherty (Cindy), Maureen Roberts, Kevin Doherty (Celia), Kathleen Souza, John Doherty (Mary), Colleen Domer (Todd), Teresa Salada (Grant), Sheila Doherty and Josephine Burke (Richard); and his aunts, Maureen Doherty and Sheila Doherty. He is also survived by 26 nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
