He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Kennedy (Pike) and Marshall Kennedy; and his parents-in-law, Dorothy and Joe Travnicek. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his brother Tom Kennedy (Denise) of Albuquerque; and his children, Chris Kennedy (Denise) of Windsor, Chad Kennedy (Tina) of Corona and Katie Ingram (Austin) of Casper, Wyoming. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the New Riverton High School (2001 W Sunset Dr, Riverton, WY 82501).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions in honor of James "Jim" Kennedy to help establish a scholarship for a Riverton High School student to further their education.
