She was predeceased by: her parents, James Griffey and Annabelle Lee Griffey; her spouses, Lee Murrell and Michael Carter; her son Jesse Carter; and her siblings, Carol Stokes and Danny Griffey.
She is survived by: her son James (Jimmy); and her sisters, Julia Spicer (Bill) and Nancy Mallory. She is also survived by three grandchildren, two nieces.
