John Robert Vetten Obituary

John Robert Vetten better known as “Johnny V” passed away Sunday December 13th 2020 surrounded by lots of love and some of his dearest friends.

He was born on April 26th 1961 to Shirley Ann and Otto William Vetten in Fort Smith AK.

John was a graduate of Kelly Walsh High School and was the general manager of C85 Galles Liqour where he loved his job, coworkers and all his customers! John loved the “Star Trio”………Star Trek, Star Wars, Star Gate, even insisting on taking his drivers license picture in his Star Fleet uniform. John loved nothing more than playing music, making people laugh, performing in theatrical plays, and helping others. John was a giving, generous, loving, compassionate, and truly one of a kind. His loving and giving heart was larger than life and his selflessness and compassion for others was unmatched. John had a never ending supply of bad jokes, mediocre impersonations, as well as cheap trinkets from China! Every one who met John ended up with some kind of trinket from his stash!

John was also incredibly musically talented, he was an original member of the infamous band The Grease Monkeys, he started his own band Tacos and Hotdogs, and played many gigs with different local artists as well as writing and recording several of his own songs. He had his own unique style of playing the guitar and his enthusiasm was contagious infecting everyone that ever met him. John will be truly and deeply missed forever by those who loved him.
