She was predeceased by: her parents, Thelma Simpson and Paul Simpson; her husband Tom Smith; her brother Jack; and her great grandchild Cameron Blackford.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Friedly (Gary) and Gene Smith (Carlla); and her grandchildren, Heidi Pierce (Friedly) and Cecillia Pruitt (Friedly). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.
