He is survived by: his wife Gertraud "Traute" Gilbert of Casper; his brother Jack Gilbert (Lucia); his sister-in-law Carol Gilbert; and his children, Karl Gilbert (Donna) of Denver, Kurt Gilbert (Lara) of Casper, Kent Gilbert (Leslie) of Frisco, Kyle Gilbert of Red Lodge, Montana and Kari Gilbert of Casper. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
