He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold C. Baker and Dorothy M. Baker (Anderson); his daughter Tammy Lynn Baker; his sister Lona Baker; and his stepchildren, Theresa Duran and Jason Uresk.

He is survived by: his wife Shirlene Baker (Bowers); his sons, James M. and Rick James Baker; his stepdaughter Dia Uresk; his grandchildren, Kahliee, Nykolaus Baker, Jessica Bruce, Roxanne Medina, Aiden Baker, Daniel Mathews and Antone Duran; his great grandchildren, PJ, Hayla and Preston Briggs; and his siblings, Bonnie Eckstein and Wayne Baker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
