He is survived by: his wife Starlee Bowie Hays; his sisters, Mary Blacketer, Betty Hays, Billie Hays and Twyla Hays; his children, Stacey Wattenbarger (Bryan), Charles Hays (Crystal) and Jesse Hays (Sadie); his stepson Ben Bowie (Katie); and his grandchildren, Danika, Ashlynn, Carly, Kylee, Avaleyah, Breylynn, Skye, CJ, Colby, Chance and Nick.
