He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Red" Smith and Genevieve Ruth Smith; his wife Donna Hope Betasso Smith; and his son Todd Rice Smith. He is survived by: his daughters, Christine Schulman of Portland, Ore, Dana Kenner Smith of Denver and Colo. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
