He is survived by: his mother Alberta Mayes; his wife Eleanor Patricia Mayes; and his son Richard Alphonzo Mayes (Toya). He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great grandchild, a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nephews, and Nieces.
