He is survived by: his significant other Christy Lee Maddox; his children, Cheyenne Chantne Carpenter of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Carl James-Maddox (Jenna) of Davis County, Utah.; his grandchildren, Allison Lee, Zoe Amberly, Thompson James, Patrick of Vermont and Christopher Randel; his children, Jenny, Jon and Joy; and his sister Pamela Orta Aldrich of Sacramento, California.
