He was predeceased by: his parents, Armand Omel and Alta Omel (Lanterman); his wife Delores Meyer of John's Lutheran Church; his daughter Cindy Omel; his grandson Nathan Omel; and his siblings, Leal Omel, Fosten'Toot'Omel, Myron Omel, Gerald'Jerry'Omel, Warren'Bud'Omel, Paul Helton, Liva Omel, Evelyn Helton, Verna Helton, Donna Hurley, Velma Omel, Martha Omel and Lucille Omel.
He is survived by: his daughter Lisa Omel; and his grandchildren, Andrea Davis and kids (Justin), Heath Rowbal and kids (Lesley), Hank Rowbal and kids (Angela), Heather Grupe and kids (Adam) and Amanda Kanareff. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and several extended family.
