He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Maddie (Ryan Haakenson) and Virginia; and his parents, Biff Mason and Laura Mason. He is survived by: his spouse Meridee; his daughter Kimber; his grandchildren, Aren, Richie, Matt, Nichole, Ryan, Jessica and Allie; Jim Good.

He ended his work career with the City of Cheyenne in 2020 during Covid.
