It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Orr Meyer of Cheyenne, Wyoming, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As Mary Orr departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary Orr. Though Mary Orr may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Phil "P. J." Orr and Marianne Orr; her husband Joseph "Joe" Meyer; and her brother Jim. She is survived by: her sons, Vince and Warren (Cory); her grandsons, Ethan and Devin Meyer; and her little Button of Cheyenne.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Red Lion Hotel & Conference Center (204 W Fox Farm Rd, Cheyenne, WY 82007).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wyoming Hunger Initiative, Cheyenne Animal Shelter, Laramie County Library Foundation, or to the Joe and Mary Meyer Endowment to Support Student Internships in Public Service, in care of the UW Foundation at 222 South 22nd, Laramie, WY, 82070.
