He was predeceased by : his father Bill Hurt; and also Sally. He is survived by : his wife Melissa; his children, Melinda Churchill (Marshall) and Matthew Hurt (Alysiah Jack); his grandchildren, Declan and Ariah; his siblings, James Hurt and Kathleen Malta; his nephews, Jon Malta and Joshua Hurt; and his mother-in-law Christine Powers. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

Viewing was held on Thursday, April 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes (1900 E 19th St, Cheyenne, WY 82001). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
