He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McGee and Esther McGee; his sister Angela; his wife Ellen Ann Betts of Lost Nation; and his son Seth.

He is survived by: his children, Scott (Kim), Todd (Dawn), Doug (Anne), Thomas, Anne (Doug), Erin (Michael), Adam, Tylyn (Patty), Katy, Matthew, Sara, Shannon (Gary) and Michl; and his sisters, Patricia (Philip), Katherine (Paul) and Sheila (James). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
