Paul leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Paul’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Paul will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Elbert and Cora Gapen; his wife Ann; and his children, Patrice, John and Nicholas. He was also cherished by two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
A vigil service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church of the Holy Trinity. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cheyenne National Cemetery.
