She was predeceased by: her parents, Don Schafer and Pauline Schafer; and her siblings, Fred Schafer and Donna Schafer. She is survived by: her sons, Gary Vonheeder, Jr. and Ben Vonheeder (Heather); her sibling Jean Baumeister of Stuart, Nebraska.; and her husband Gary Vonheeder.
