He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Sr. Brand and S. Elizabeth Brand. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his children, Kathleen "Kathy" Hale (Jeff Hale) of Scappoose, OR, Raymond "Ray" Brand (Lori Brand) of Cheyenne, WY and Richard "Rich" Brand (Kim Brand) of Independence, MO; his grandchildren, Steve Brand of Cheyenne, WY, Megan Mullen (Matt Mullen) and Christopher "Chris" Hale (Taylor Hale); and his stepgrandchildren, Victoria McCoart (Derek McCoart), Erica Radley (Trevor Radley) and Johnathan Garcia.
Rod is remembered for his cheery community service including donating gallons of his blood to help save others, membership with the Cheyenne Kiwanis Club, and leading Webelos in Boy Scouts while his two sons were members, encouraging them to become Eagle Scouts.
