He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Friedman and Mildred Friedman (King); his siblings, Marlene (Frankie Dale Rollins) and Gary P Friedman; and his wife Ethel Friedman (Mueller).

He is survived by: his daughter Lori Friedman Ford (Robert) of Cheyenne, WY; his granddaughter Angelina Detsch; his sister-in-law Jean Friedman of Johnstown, PA; his stepchildren, Steve Poole (Marie) of Fremont, NE, Donna Kolund (Bruce) of Fremont, NE, Randy Poole (Tamara) of Fremont, NE, Rod Poole of Fremont, NE, Lonnie Poole of Fremont, NE and Vickie Bolte (Gregg) of Fremont, NE; and his stepgrandchildren, Dawson Poole, Sheila Ballard (Mark), Katie Jaime (Junior) and Shawn Zurcher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
