She was predeceased by : her husband David "Sammy" McInerney; her siblings, Anthony Sandwell, Collette Tennis (John) and Norman Sandwell; her parents, Francis Sandwell and Violet Sandwell; and her daughter-in-law Sandy McInerney.

She is survived by : her children, Timothy McInerney (Alison), Michael McInerney (Laura), William McInerney (Debbie), Sheila McInerney (Kim) and Thomas McInerney; her siblings, Donald Sandwell (Linda), Lois Speth (Conrad) and Steve Sandwell (Gayle); and her grandchildren, T. C., Maddy, Zac, Scott, Shae, Ace, Erin, Amanda and Dan.
