She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Fuchs and Lorraine Fuchs (Smith); her in-laws, John and Vidas Simms (Fox); her daughter Karen; her siblings, Barbra Schultz, Joan Borgstadt and Bob Fuchs (Robert); her brothers-in-law, Verle Simms (John), Gayle Simms, Norman Simms (Sharon), Roger Simms (Melenie), Dale Simms, Dave Piersol (David) and Harold Lander; her siblings' children, Dan Lander, Loren Simms, Roy Simms, Elaine Weist (Simms), Wendy Simms, Sara Klich (Borgstadt) and Lori Curtis; and her great-nephews, Jacob Wages, Jordan and Dillon Klich.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Simms; her daughter Amy Simms; her siblings, Dennis (Pat Fuchs) and Kathy Baker (Steve); and her siblings-in-law, Jim Borgstadt (James) and Sue Lander (Simms). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peters Funeral Home (124 SD-50, Wagner, SD 57380). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
