We announce the death of Tary Rae Werts of Cheyenne, Wyoming, who passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Werts and Charlotte Werts; his wife Diana Salm; his brother Cary Werts; his mother-in-law Phyllis Salm; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Salm, Susan Werts, Tammy Salm and Shirley Herdliska.
He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Schein (Randy); his granddaughter Natalie Schein of Guernsey, WY; his siblings, Gary Werts (Diana) of Bettendorf, IA, Bary Werts of North Platte, NE and Peggy Mackey (Dana) of Fremont, NE; his aunts, Deloris Werts of Russell, IA and Karen; and his siblings-in-law, Terry Salm (Ellen) of Iowa City, IA, Randy Salm (Denise) of Iowa City, IA, Jeff Salm (Tina) of Iowa City, IA and Jean Cooney (Bill). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
