He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Sparks and Mary Jean Sparks; his siblings, Cathy and Donnie; and his granddaughter Ashley Seelhoff.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Sparks; and his children, Fearil Sparks, Sandiee Knupp (Dave), Lindy Snyder (Brian) and Shon Sparks. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many close friends.
