He was predeceased by: his mother Phyllis Steinkamp Bales of Aurora; and his brother William (Bill) of Rio Rancho, N. M.. He is survived by: his siblings, Jane of Rio Rancho, N. M., James (Jack) of Fredericksburg, Richard (Joanne) of Aurora, Elizabeth Olson (Steve) of Geneva, Sister Katherine Bales of Springfield, Ill., Margaret Gilbertson (Jon) of Aurora and Robert of Rio Rancho; and his sister-in-law Apiluk of Rio Rancho. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a great-niece.
