He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest and Marjorie; and his sisters, Ruth, Marion and Iva June.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Heather McFarlane of Cody, WY and Duncan McFarlane (Jennifer) of Kalispell, MT.; his grandchildren, Natalie Bradshaw (Louis) and Cade Zupan; his great grandchildren, Louis, Leia and Easton; and his nieces and nephews, Karin, Jean, Cedar, Crystal, Kasey, Ronny and Terry.
