He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry James and Alice Susann Durst (Lang); his wife Mildred E. Durst; his granddaughter Lori; and his sons-in-law, Shannon Purviance and Joe Reina.

He is survived by: his children, Kathy Reina of California, Polly Purviance of Casper, Ted Durst (Lori) of Douglas and Gail Gilmore (Randy) of California. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
