In the sacred silence of farewell, Melba Jean is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Melba Jean's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Overy and Melba Overy; her husband Jay Schofield; and her son Bart. She is survived by: her siblings, Jess Overy (Ruth), Jerry Overy (Vickie), Ed Overy (Susan), Patsy Ann Bird (Vearl) and Ilene Stevens (Thad). She is also survived by her children, 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calendar Evanston Stake Center (721 Cheyenne Dr, Evanston, WY 82930).
