He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Smith and Adele Smith; and his brother Dennis. He is survived by: his wife Darleen; his children, Brian Smith (Nancy), Rebecca Johnson (Joshua) and Heather McKinney (Tristan); his grandchildren, Sean Patrick, Christopher Howard, David Michael and Tristan Ryan Smith; his siblings, Debra Klein (Phillip) and Robert; and his cousins, Mona, Evelyn and Stephanie.
