We are sad to announce that, on February 7, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Detmer Knapp (Gillette, Wyoming). Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Detmer Knapp to show support.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Detmer Knapp and Reba Knapp; and his granddaughter Lola. He is survived by: his sister Rita Neville (Frank Neville) of Casper; his daughters, Sage (Shelby Brooks) of Casper and Ashley (Kent Risien) of New Braunfels, Texas; and his grandchildren, Jackson, Harper Brooks, Emma Grace, Isla and Lucy Risien. He is also survived by niece, nephew and multiple cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Casper Shrine Club in his honor.

“Abe has been a dear friend of our family for over 25 years. We worked together mitigating physical and environmental hazards on abandoned mine sites from Shirley Basin to South Pass City. Because of his leadership, we won the 1993 National Reclamation Award from the Office of Surface Mining. He had a unique ability to lift our spirits with his cheerful demeanor and genuine concern and love for others. We are truly blessed to have known and worked with this Man! Chris and Diana Walla”
