He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Wendling and Charlotte Wendling; his wife Donna Jean of Cisne; and his granddaughter Vivian. He is survived by: his son David Lawrence (Karrie) of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; his former wife Betty Adkisson; his children, Keri Lynn Van Zee (Ken) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Nicholas Adam Adkisson (Arkay) of Webster Groves, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Jaret, Isaac, Meiling Van Zee, Ben, Natalie Wendling, Maura O'Malley, Miette Adkisson and Freya Adkisson of Webster Groves, Missouri..
Memorials may be given to Mt. Erie Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
