It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vencil Lee Burnett (Gillette, Wyoming), who passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Vencil's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May Vencil's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Burnett and Denzil Burnett; his wife Mary Edna Willis; his daughter Elaine; and his grandson Tyler.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Adams (Ray), Randy Burnett (Teresa) of Springfield, MO and Debbie Lubkeman (Butch) of Gillette, Wyoming; and his sister Sonia Rose of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Mission fund at Cherry Street Baptist Church, 1201 S. Oak Grove Ave., Springfield, MO 65804.
