He was predeceased by: his parents, Nils Sundeen and Mary Cole Sundeen; his siblings, Gemia Monge and Darell Sundeen; his father-in-law Ernest Hettervig (Barbara); and his brother-in-law Marty Hettervig.
He is survived by: his spouse Emogean "Emma" Hettervig; his friend Terry; his grandsons, Curtis James "CJ" and Chase Rekkedal of Portsmouth; his siblings, Marlys Langton of Liberty, Norris Sundeen (Sharon) of St. Helens, Oregon and Dennis Sundeen (Bonnie) of Grand Forks; his sisters-in-law, Jan Sundeen of Lakota, Joyce Gilbertson of Crookston and Nancy Allrich (Allan) of Mahnomen, Minnesota; and his close friend Tony Montoya (DeeAnn) of Green River, Wyoming..
