He was predeceased by : his parents, Peggy K Butler and David C. Butler. He is survived by : his wife Kay C; his children, Anna Rivers (Elias), Monica Iverson (Leif), Austin Butler (Sheri), Heather Strasser (Bryan), Jennifer Usher (Spencer) and Kyle Butler (Alicia); and his siblings, Cathy, Steve, David, Diana, Erin, Patrick, Marie and Melanie. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to South Lincoln Nursing Center in Kemmerer, WY.
