He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert and Bertie; his brother Albert Otis; and his sister-in-law Elva. He is survived by: his wife Carol Harper; his children, John James "Jamie" Laird, Jr. (Amy), Sarah Schlosser, Jeremy Laird (Nicole), Jeffrey Laird and Joel Laird (Jen); and his grandchildren, Christina (Warren), Cody, Amanda, Jacob (Tierney), Jackson, Arlo, Joel, Sandra Eve, Bri, Josie, William, Wyatt and Kinsley. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (653 Cascade St, Lander, WY 82520).
