With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan C. Porter of Laramie, Wyoming, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hill and Lucille Hill (McFarland); her stepfather Chuck McFarland; her brother Dale Hill; and her stepmother Mary McFarland (Reitsma).
She is survived by: her stepmother Mary Reitsma (McFarland); her husband Wes L. Porter; her daughter Nicoll L. Cassidy; her granddaughter Brianna J. Cassidy; and her siblings, Janice Borah, Joyce Powell (Doug) and Tim McFarland (Patty). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joan's memory to the Ivinson Hospital Foundation (imhfoundation.org), Patient Assistance Fund, or the Educational Excellence Fund to continue her nursing legacy and passion for helping others.
