He was predeceased by : his parents, Norval Johnson and Dorothy Johnson (Lease); his sister Maxine Johnson; and his brother-in-law Les Murdoch (Linda Johnson). He is survived by : his sister Phyllis Murdoch (Johnson); his sister-in-law Lucille (Hunziker) Sandoval (Darwin); his nephews, Alan Johnson (Salli) and Doug Johnson; his grandchildren, Dalton Johnson (Savannah), Cooper Johnson (Rachel), Emma Johnson and James Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer Johnson and Waverly Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Montgomery Stryker Funeral Home (2133 E Rainbow Ave, Laramie, WY 82070).
