We announce the death of Sheila V. Treeby of Laramie, Wyoming, who passed away on August 31, 2026. Sheila will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Sheila will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Sheila’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She is survived by: her husband Cameron E. Treeby; her mother Cleola Sales; her siblings, Willie Phillips of St. Louis and Veronica Phillips of St. Louis; and her sons, Alexander Parks, Laramie and Donovan Smith of Palmdale, California..
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the West Texas Veterans' Cemetery (4614 E 50th St, Lubbock, TX 79404). Sheila moved to Laramie in 2018 to pursue a double major in Nursing and Social Work from the University, but was slowed by congestive heart failure during the pandemic.
