He is survived by: his wife Debbie Winkler; his children, TaBitha Haslett (Craig), Tiffanie Shassetz (Travis) and Jacob Winkler; and his siblings, Robert Winkler, Richard Erwin Winkler II, Rose Ellen Clark and Patricia Burchett. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
