She was predeceased by: her parents, Werner Vainio and Lydia Vainio (Anderson); her husband William Waterson Jr.; her son David; her daughter-in-law Tara Waterson of Fort Peck, Montana; her daughter Shirley Vander Vorste of Royal City, Washington; her brother John; her sister-in-law Laurie of St. Onge; her sister Vera; her brother-in-law Kenny Boe of Rapid; and her grandson Timothy Waterson.

She is survived by: her children, James Waterson (Becky) of Odgen, Utah and Vera Huber (Richard) of Newcastle, Wyoming; her son-in-law Dwight Vander Vorste of Royal City, Washington; and her brother Paul Vainio of Albuquerque. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
