He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Washam and Eileen Washam (Gunyan); and his grandparents, James, Maude Washam, Nathan and Lila Gunyon.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Washam; his children, Michael Washam (Melissa) and Marilou Huff (Nathan); his granddaughter Shawnee Robertson; his great grandchildren, Gabriel and Colin Rogers; and his brother Denny Washam. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
