Betty touched many lives and will be remembered fondly for the moments shared and the memories created. Family, friends, and colleagues extend their love and support during this time. While Betty’s presence will be missed, the influence she had on others will remain. Those who knew her will carry forward memories that reflect her character and spirit.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter S. Higgs and Armis C. Higgs; and her sisters, Rachel Higgs-Bridges, Evelyn DiPaolo and Charlotte Webber.
She is survived by: her husband Larry M. Mathews of Riverton; and her children, Mark L. Mathews (Carmen Vasco) of Riverton, Lori A. Larsen (Greg) of Riverton, Cherry L. Brown (Chancy) of Riverton and Holly S. Sullivan (Cody Barney) of Douglas. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Riverton Church of Christ (39 Gas Hills Rd, Riverton, WY 82501).
