He was predeceased by : his parents, John Fredrick II and Vera May Witthar (Mickey); his grandparents, John F. Witthar, Sr. and Pearl Witthar; and his grandson Christian M. Guthrie.

He is survived by : his wife Carlta Witthar; his children, Aaron Seibert, Brian Seibert, Ben Witthar and Jessica Guthrie; his stepdaughters, Stephanie Titus and Valerie Steiner; and his siblings, Mark Witthar, Janet Marsico and Margert Strasser.
